I recently purchased a Gigabyte F2A78M-HD2 Motherboard. I have read some bad reviews on it. I am wondering if a AMD A8-7600 Kaveri Quad-Core 3.1 GHz Processor will be compatible. I have already checked Gigabyte website and it is listed there but some of the specs are not identical to that of Newegg. Also I have a old Power Supply which is 500watt. It has a 20+4 pin power connector and a 4 pin for CPU Power. I am wondering if a 4 to 8 pin converter will work for this (the motherboard only has 8 pin for CPU power). Gigabyte site says only 65 watts is needed for the Processor I previously mentioned.

Question 3... the Motherboard only supports 1 Case Fan. Is there any way to work around this to install other fans? I'm not sure how cases with fans pre installed get their power. Any help would be greatly appreciative, I'm not new to computers but new to building and I enjoy learning very much.

I don't plan on doing any gaming on this rig mainly just for surfing and streaming media. Also trying to use the old memory and PSU from my main PC to save some cash.

how bout the power supply I have?

Turbolink Switching Power Supply
Model: ATX-TL500W-BK

it has a 4 pin cpu connector and a 20+4 pin power connector. My motherboard requires a 8pin cu connector but I'm assuming it will be compatible because this is a ATX power supply?
