Is installing Windows XP in a SSD really bad idea?

I read that XP doesn't support TRIM commands, so will it cause any problem?

I have installed XP in a HDD in my laptop and for last 5/6 months I have noticed the performance is slower.

This is a super old laptop (emachine 725) with Dual Core T4200, 2 GB DDR2 RAM. Please suggest.

I recommend installing windows 7.
Windows XP is too old to support SSD properly.
SSD support gets better with windows 7, 8 and 10 and they don't suffer performance issue like XP did.

Hello. I would install 7 but I like XP's interface than 7's. I guess I will stick with XP even if it's HDD.

I wouldn't advise running XP at all, as it no longer receives security updates, and newer tech isn't going to support it.

If it dies blame it on the SSD not the OS. Don't be scared homie. Can vouch it's safe having used XP Pro SP3 & Intel SSD 128GB @ 2 years w/ no issues.
