msi 970 gaming motherboard problems

I have an msi 970 gaming motherboard and a 4.4 GHz 8 core processor that overclocks at 4.8 ghz. Will the mobo support just running it without overclocking bc currently it will not boot at all

What is "bc" is this the Base Clock that you want to set to default? If so the answer is yes but as-soon-as you set your RAM to XMP profile, most profiles will overclock this.

Turn off your dial at the bottom . And flash your bios... should be fresh after that.

reset the bios, to do so , unplug the wall plug and shorten the clear cmos by jumper

ok i did that causing it to try to boot for almost a min then went back to no booting meaning the motherboard works so is it possible that the motherboard wont run without a heatsink/cpu cooler
