I am using sabertooth x79 motherboard. At present i am using 4x8GB (32GB) RAM 1333 Transcend in four slots and it is added as per manual. I am using this configuration for more than year. Now I got 4x8GB (32GB) RAM 1600 corsair CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10 as gift. Can I add this RAM in remaining 4 slots. Is there any compatible issues? Please let me know. Mostly I am using this machine as server and hosting multiple VMs like sharepoint, SAP B1 and SQL etc., The host machine is running in Linux Mint Rosa.

Solution
Yes, there are lots of compatibility issues. Large chance of the system not booting. If it does boot, all your RAM will run at lowest speed.

Since it's highly unlikely you need 32GB of RAM, why don't you just run with the 4 sticks of 1600 GHz RAM and sell the old sticks.

Thank you for quick answer. Sure I will sell my old RAMs and use the new One.

The VMs SQL Server 2014, SharePoint 2013 and SAP B1 server each need 16GB RAM, Windows Desktop 4GB RM, pfSense 128MB and DC 1GB RAM otherwise performance is very slow. I have configured all those VMs using Oracle Virtual Box.
