Hey, im upgrading my build from my present one. My present one is:

CPU: g3258

GPU: Asus 280x directcuii

HDD: Corsair force ls 120gb

MOBO: Asrock h81 hds 2.0

PSU: EVGA 650 GQ 80+gold

i'll keep the psu, hdd, and gpu(i will upgrade this later) for now.

I got 2 ideas for an upgrade, but i'd like you guys input on which one to pick

I'd like to start streaming for real a bit, and I mostly just play stuff like league, smite, dota 2, csgo, a bit of Total war, want to play rainbow six siege(but not really possible on my cpu).

And of course overwatch when it comes out :)

I only want to stream league :)

Build 1:

Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR4 8GB 2133 CL14 - Dual - Fury Black

MOBO: ASUS Z170-A

CPU: CORE I7-6700K 4.00GHZ

Case: NZXT Source 340

vs

Build 2:

Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100i GTX

CPU: Intel Core i5 6600K 3.5G

RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR4 8GB 2133 CL14 - Dual - Fury Black

Case: NZXT Source 340 Miditower

MOBO: ASUS Z170-A

In my country build 1 is actually more expensive than build 2.

There is actually a 140 $ difference between the cpu's alone(and we very rarely have any sales on popular hardware)

I just want it to be silent, and streamable at 1080p 60fps. Then next month ill do some white sleeved extension cables(and other bling) + samsung 950 + new gpu :)

Definitely go with the 6600k, I don't believe that the overinflated price tag of the i7 is worth it, the i7 may have been more worth it in previous generations, but due to lack of competition, the price is astronomical in my opinion. And you can probably wait to overclock the 6600k too as it will most likely be sufficient, or at least with a very slight overclock, and then worry about pushing it later in its life when you need it, unless you can really benefit from it now or just really want to. (Will admit OCing the crap out of something successfully is fun

Regarding cooling go with the Nocuta U14s. Silent and best quality. Forget water cooling, with possible pump failure and noise over time.

Coolermaster is crap.

The i5 really is a 3.9 cpu. Only difference is 100mhz & hyperthreading with i7. if the software youre using takes advantage of hyperthreading then youd want the i7. If not, there no reason to get the i7 and youre overclocking so the 100mhz diff in lock speed is moot.

Consider the fractal R5 case. best on the market. IVe buitl many pcs at work. ive had to push quite a few nzxts backplanes in to fit cards in and plenty of threaded screws. nothing comes close to the build quality , options and silence of the R5.

Not so sure why the coolermaster is crap? I was looking at the same options as you and went with the 6600k and the 212 evo. I run my 6600k at 4.6ghz with the 212evo with low temps, the 212 evo isn't really loud IMO. Yes you can get better coolers than the 212 evo, but not for the same price and unless you really plan on trying to overclock to 4.8ghz or something, I see no need for anything more expensive than the 212, unless you want absolute silence. I have always ran 212 on my systems, my last was a 2500k @ 4.6 with the older 212 and still had no problems.

go for build 2 because i5 6600k can satisfy every you need
buying i7 6700k is just ignition of money
second you dont need z170 chipset b150 will be good enough check

its away better to buy 16gb ram then z170
and case nzxt is ovepriced look for LCPOWER gaming 930w

If you are wanting to overclock, which it seems you probably do, don't get a b series motherboard. Stick with your z170. As far as ram goes, buy what you need for now, can always add more later. grab cheapest name brand ddr4 sticks you can find, it will be just as good as all the other ddr4 sticks.. You wont notice any difference between a $40 kit of ram and a $80 kit of ram.
