How can I reset a RAID/SERVER HDD?

I recently purchased a 3TB Seagate HDD and assumed it was DOA as it wouldn't show up on anything. After extensive testing I found it was previously set up as in a server under RAID. How can I fix this and use the HDD for general use? I've tried just about everything I can think of to little avail.

How can I eliminate the RAID Array/reformat and what do I do if this turns out to be password locked?

EDIT: This HDD has not shown up in ANYTHING except for SeaTools and even there it's unknown. It won't show in my BIOs, my Disk Management, or Partition Wizard. It also doesn't show up in the CMD DiskPart.

Hi

was this a new hard disk or second hand or new but old stock
this model has been available since end of 2011

see this bad reliability report

Hi

what is the exact model of this Hard disk?

If it is SATA (I/II/III) [150/300/600] and SATA cables OK and SATA port is enabled then
It should show up in the BIOS [UEFI] and Device Manager whether it was in a RAID previously or NOT

If Seagate diagnostics does not report a pass that is a good reason to return it to seller as faulty (and not new)

ST3000DM001, and SeaTools reported a pass; it shows up in device manager {why I didn't check tyhat before, I've no clue. Getting ready to poke around in my bios.

I checked all of them before and it only briefly showed up in my Device Manager but not anywhere else.

Used off of amazon. I had my brother take it to school and run some tests {they have more resources for it than I} and they came back to me saying it was set in RAID.

It shows up in SeaTools and Device Manager but not the bios. I think I've just gotten a bad HDD; probably time to cut my losses.
