My pc was on Windows 7 before and I can connect to the Internet with no problem. On one day, my pc can't start because have a problem with the windows system and I've solve this already by installing Windows 8.1 (64-bit). I have delete the partition on the disk before I install it. Note: I couldn't remember the spec of windows 7 before the problem occurs because the problem has happened a few month ago.

Model: HP dx2810 MT

After that, I was unable to connect to the Internet. I could only see the ethernet option to connect it but I don't have the ethernet cable. I go to the Device Manager > Network Adapter. I could only see the [Family Chip] and there was no the Wireless Network Adapter. Note: I also couldn't remember the name of the drive, maybe Qualcomm Atheros, Realtek or Broadcom...

Plus, my wifi and air plane mode (on/off switch) is also gone

Whenever I tried to install any wireless network adapter... It will give an error such as "The device may not be present or could have been ejected/unplugged from the system.
Any reply would much appreciate :)

did you perfom a clean install by formattig your drives or did you create a partiiton and install onto that. clean install is the best way to go just back up your data on a different drive. USB installs work fine switch to a different port and try the install again

If you formatted the drive and installed Win8.1, it sounds like the chipset drivers for your computer may not have been installed with it. These drivers help other software determine what hardware is already installed and that may be why nothing you try to install is working.

A quick Google search led me to this page below that has all the drivers for your model. As you can see, Windows 8.1 is not included in the list of compatible operating systems, so that may be the second problem.

My best advice would be to revert back to Windows 7, wait for HP to have 8.1 updates available, and then upgrade.

Thx for the fast reply. I'll try to revert it to Windows 7 later and then let you know the result

I have installed windows 7 twice now but there's another problem came out. The first installation was fine but I can only see the C: disk with 97 GB but actually my pc have 250GB HDD. The second installation has a problem. The pc can't complete the installation then I restart my pc and now my pc its not responding.

1.The pc loading the windows files from bootable usb
2.The windows 7 loading appears (Windows logo)
3.The pc stop responding to the Window Installer or doesn't appear (just black screen)

I've wait for 2 hours to respond it but nothing happens. I really don't know what to do now

How did you install Windows 7? Did you format the drive before you installed it?

As funny as it may sound, if you're booting off a USB thumb drive, it may be the port that you're plugged into. Can you plug it into another port and try again?
