So I have bought a game on PC that requires a Xbox 360 controller and so I went and installed the "Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories status", followed the steps but It did not work. I know there are already threads on this that have answers but none have worked for me since I have a different problem. So when I plug in my Xbox 360 controller in a USB port, it says installing device and then ready to use. However then nothing happends, the controller doesn't turn on or anything and if I go to joy.cpl like Microsoft says to do to check your controller, there is no controller there. In device manager the controller shows up but says "this device is working properly". I tried updating the driver in device manager too but nothing. Please help me, just bought a game for 40$ on pc and can't play it. :S
