Looking at get one of these two devices to capture gameplay and maybe other things. i have read several spec pages on both. I like the Elgato's high mb rate and software but the LGP has pc free recording and is less expensive. I like 1080p but would be fine at 720p. Most feedback I have seen is from years ago when they first released. I just want good contrast in my videos, steady with no stuttering and the files need to be able to work with Adobe Premiere as I do my own editing that way. ANyone have enough insight to provide some feedback?

What sort of gameplay are you looking forward to capture, console or desktop? There seems to be people on both camps where they praise or taunt the other. Elgato witht ehir audio sync'ing issues and Avermedia with device's that fail and/or have the Blue ring of death issue. Have you thought about an internal capture card by Avermedia, the C985...?
