Does anyone know how to hook up a windows xp machine to a windows 8.1 machine for sharing a internet connection through a ethernet cable.

My internet connection is wifi but i am trying to use a ethernet cable to hook up a old xp machine.

I think you are asking about Internet Connection Sharing (ICS).
