Tell her that if you build it yourself, then you might actually get better reliability, because you will know exactly what parts go in, so you will make sure they are good quality, and that it is well built, because you built it and not some minimum wage factory worker. It will also be cheaper, and you will be able to choose the specs exactly.
If you have to go for a prebuilt, it depends whether you are getting a desktop or laptop.
While I agree with you, his parents may not trust his 'building capability' and with a prebuilt (although it may be built poorly) at least you will get a warranty. That's how parents may see it.
EDIT: Just realised, that in the question, you say you will install a GPU yourself, which will instantly void your warranty. So never mind what I said. Can you really not persuade your parents to let you build it yourself?
I didn't it would void the warranty. Thanks for pointing out! She will be mad if that happens.
Any way I think I'll try to persuade her to let me build it myself. I hope this will be just a matter of time!
BTW is there anyway to get some sort of warranty for PCs built by myself or is there any warranty that comes with the pc part that I buy?
No problem, glad to have helped.
Components will generally each come with a separate warranty, so for instance, if you build your own PC and the RAM or CPU fails, the warranty should cover you, and you can get a replacement. However I don't believe that the warranty will cover other components that may be damaged/need replacing as a result of their failed product. (Like if your PSU fails and blows your whole system, you will get a replacement PSU but everything else = $$$)
(Quick note about everything I said above: That's how I understand it, but I've never experienced issues, never had to 'use' a warranty, never had failed components, and I'm also
not a lawyer
