Remote desktop connection issue

Hi all,

At work I've been having problems setting up the remote desktop connection on a single workstation.
Things I have done:
-turned the firewall off
-turned the remote settings on with the users specified and allowed connections in
-re-joined the domain just in case
-I can ping the Windows 7 Pro station and get the IP. I can also remote from that computer but not to it
-we also have a subscription to a program called Logmein and that program only allows the admin accounts to see it. Other users are not even able to see it listed (even when I specify they can)
-any remote desktop services I have made sure start up and have restarted to make sure they are working
-removed any Microsoft Security Essentials
-did a flushdns

I'm all out of ideas. If anyone can help me with this that would be great. Thank you for your time!
