Hello,

So basically, I am going to get new CPU but can't decide which one.

I was lookin' at Intel Core i7-5820K and Intel Core i7-4790K or maybe there is something that you can recommend which is better?.

Waiting for response.

Edit:

Oh, and can you recommend me motherboard, too?

Thanks!

i5 and i7 are not that different. In fact i7 is a little over kill for a cpu, so your choice really depends on what you are going to do on your computer. If you are just going to play mainstream games like minecraft, csgo, or tf2 you're going to get an i3 or amd chip. If you are going to run really intensive programs and or render videos, you may want to go with an i5 or i7. Also motherboard is also personal preference, just make sure the one you pick out is compatible with your cpu and all your other parts.

The 5820k is a much better processor but that does come with the fact that it is more expensive. If you are gonna go with the 5820k a x99 motherboard is a no brainer, sofar the asus ones have shown themselves to be great overall.

you can get i5 6600k for the same price (and performance) as i7 4790k.
just check some youtube reviews.

I didint recommend you an older CPU because you will not have futher upgrades.

i5 6600k have DDR4, 1151 sockets wich means you can upgrade for 2017 processors or others i7

Hey,

I am thinking of gaming.

But I have red that 4790k is more for gaming and its just overall better then 5820k.

And 5820k going to require DDR4 ram + mother which is expensive.

So, I guess, I will go with 4790k.
