CompTIA Network+ is the exam I'll be taking in a couple of months and I have a couple of questions.

I have done an MTA: Networking which was fairrrrly easy compared to the MTA: Server and MTA: Security.

I am in my Level 4 Apprenticeship in IT Systems and Networking, and was just wondering from someone who has done the CompTIA Network+.

How is the exam?
How hard/easy is it?
What type of questions do you get? Topologies, subnetting and network infrastructures?

Would be helpful, I passed the MTA: Networking with a score of 87 out of 100, pass was 70. So compared to the MTA how much do I need to revise?

Solution
Be very careful chasing large numbers of certs. A really basic one like MTA or ComptTIA is of low value compared to say the CCNA cert. It comes down to how easy it is to get these certs and there are huge numbers of people that have even the CCNA. Many people cheat by memorizing the easily available actual test question and answers so it has cut the value of many certs a lot. It is so bad that you assume everyone cheats when people come in for interviews. This is partially why CCNA is harder to get since you must do actual configuration but even those are available on the cheat sites.

Any type of experience is going to be worth much more that a large number of certs. If you can get your foot in the door with what you have...

Network+ is vendor neutral, thus its material build on MTA: Networking, I would say MTA only covers about 40-60% percent of the material found in Network+, wich depends allot on the test you get in the end, I feel i got a very easy test on it as they asked allot of questions about topologies and the OSI model, just by chance I knew the OSI model very well and passed easily, but I have no idea what the other areas are that the test can focus on. Thus I feel this wasn't difficult at all in my experience with it.

Sounds very similar to my experience with MTA.

I got maybe one or two subnetting questions, a majority around topologies and ISO model. A vast majority was about cable connectors, and which connector you would use for different topologies.

Easiest was the price different of setting up different topologies.

Would you say CompTIA Network+ is worth more than the MTA?

I guess you can say it is worth more because of the added difficulty factor firstly and that it is much broader as to include non-windows specific applications of the material.

If you ever plan on working on a non-windows only network then I feel it is worth the effort.

Normally a Bsc in IT has a Network+ subject in its second year, so it can only be a good thing to get it in that case :D
