this depends R9 280 can provide solid FPS in 1080 gaming on high setting.
If you want few additional FPS you can do this but better wait 6 monhts and buy next gen GPUs
I will personally use my old R7 260x up to 2017

it's not worth upgrading,i'd wait till pascal or polaris, or just save up for an gtx 970/r9 290/390
