Hi guys,

I am considering this memory for a build G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory:
http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-2400c10d-16gtx
If i put this on a SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK 1 with an i7 4790k is it ok?
On pcpartpicker.com I get this compatibility issue for my configuration:
The G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.
I checked the QVL list on http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-2400c10d-16gtx and the MOBO is listed. Also I have read that the i7 4790k can work with ram up to 3000Mhz on OC mode.
Taking in consideration all this info, what must be changed? How can I make it better? Is there anything I missed?

Solution
no idea, but i wouldnt take the chance. Ram speeds dont make that much diff with gaming, if at all.
You want RAM to be reliable and there be enough of it. thats all.

Ok so one solution is to pick RAM that run on 1.5v.
How come is this model in the QVL list when the Mobo specifications are: Max. 32GB, DDR3 1866/1600/1333 MHz.
Can I run 2400 Mhz or not?
