Hey,

First of all thank you in advance for taking your time to help me out, I very much appreciate your input!

I've been looking at getting a powerful gaming PC for a while (that I also might do a bit of sound recording on and programming on, but it's mostly for gaming).

I've settled on a GTX 980 Ti and an i7 6700K (I know an i5 would be just as good for gaming, but the i7 really isn't that much more so I'm happy to stick with it) so I won't really need to upgrade for quite a long time then.

Other than that I have no clue about components - I was stuck for a while trying to research motherboards, cooling solutions, power supplies, cases, etc... and wasn't really getting anywhere.

I've found this pre-built PC and wanted to ask you guys to take a look at it and see if any glaring problems jump out at you?

https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/computers-for-next-day-delivery/254/

For example, if you guys think any of the components are sub-par for any reason then I'd love to know about that!

Thanks very much for any help!

As you can see, you're paying aound £125 for them to put it together for you (not 100% sure on all part model numbers used). If you're ok with that, that up to you.

As far as parts go, it appears to be a decent parts list with the probably exception of the power supply. It will probably work just fine (Corsair would be out of business if their power supplies were actually as crappy as people say they are), but I would want to consider other options if possible.

Thanks, it's good to know that it's generally pretty decent. I'll fish around and see what I can find out about different PSUs.

I'll leave this open just for now in case anyone else wants to chip in with more opinions.

This is all good, but there are much better PSUs out there, especially for less than 79 Euros.

And you didn't actually read my post.

That is the build they are offering. I just priced it out to show that they're charging £125 for building it. I actually mentioned considering other options if possible.

Ah, I see now. Either way, he should buy the build you posted with the better PSU if anything, lol.
