Welcome everybody,
This is a big day for graphics cards because....... today we are going to pick the winner of 2 more or less equally priced GPUs. (Crowd cheers)... the Geforce GTX970 and the Radeon R9 390.(Cheer#2)

Please answer which GPU you would reccomend.
(I would use it for recording on 1080p (mayebe even 1440p))
Rest of the build:
Mobo: Asus Z170-A
CPU: Intel i5 6600k
Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212+ EVO
Case: Fractal Design Define S
PSU: Fortron FSP650-80EGN 80PLUS GOLD, black, bulk 650W
RAM: 2x 4GB DDR3-1866MHz Kingston HyperX Fury Blue

Thanks for help.

There's no clear cut winner hear. The Nvidia uses less power, generally has better driver support (but AMD is getting much better), and is better optimized for certain games. The AMD is cheaper, and has 8 GB VRAM (which will give it the edge in certain games and higher resolutions). Bottom line, look at the benchmarks for the games you'll be playing and choose the one with the best performance.

Is 650W enough for the R9 390?

I feel the 390 would be the better choice between the two because even if they are close in performance the 390 does tend to pull ahead in certain games. The power usage unfortunately can't be ignored as the 970 does use less power over all but if you have a good power supply that's a non issue. Driver support tends to be better with Nvidia mainly due to everything being game works but what you'll notice is that in games where the 970 does outperform the 390 in early game reviews the 970 eventually becomes outpaced by the 390 once AMD's drivers mature. Finally the elephant in the room as I like to put it is the segmented memory of the 970... for some games it's a non issue but others experience stuttering because of it.... I've personally experienced it and with Nvidia's poor explanation it has left a sour taste for many to the point I'm sure they'll never do that again. Also the 8GB of memory on the 390 is fully accessible even if it'll most likely ever get fully consumed with maybe the exception of Rise of the Tomb Raider which actually uses all 6GB of Vram on my Ti on max settings.
