XFX r9 280x display cuts off/ restart required

Hello all, ive had my gaming rig for around 8 months and pretty much since i've gotten it the r9 280x randomly causes the display to cut off and requires a hard restart or it will just restart it self.

ive checked temps while gaming and they rarely go over 66c

ive also stresstested the gpu and it runs flawlessly through a stress test without the display loss.

my specs are i7 4770
r9 280x 3gb
corsair ctx600
12gb gskill ram
msi z87 mobo

I have also ran my r7 260x in this computer and it hasn't had a problem only the 280x is giving trouble

I've tried driver reinstalls and different amounts of ram but cant figure out whats going on :/

they are 2x2 and 2x4
so you're saying all 4 sticks need to be the same size/manu to run them?
if thats the case ill just pull the 2x2gbs out and try it, but i think i've ran it with 8gb before and the same thing happened i will try again though.'

Yep i checked the mobo manual and got em in correctly :)
Its just a waiting game really now
because i cant really make it shutoff its just random while gaming

I Had it in pci_e2
now i have it in pci_e4 which is a 2.0 pci and e2 is a 3.0pci

Bad thing is I didn't purchase it personally and don't have invoice/receipt which I think is required for an rma with xfx
