I want to reinstall windows 7 on my computer because it is starting to get a little slow. The compondents themselves are very good but it just seems to be slowing down so i wanna reinstall windows to start fresh again... to a point. I was wondering if there is anyway that i can backup certain files and drivers so when i install the windows again onto my SSD it will be quicker then just starting to download litterally everything again. Thank you in advance

Another option is to use windows easy transfer.
It will copy your files, and settings to an external drive and produce a report on what apps need to be reinstalled.
When the new windows is installed, run easy transfer again and you can import all or part of your settings and files. You will have a report on what apps need to be reinstalled.

You also don't know if any of those files or apps have gotten corrupted by malware or just updates in general. If you're going to do a clean install, it's best just to go all in. (Obviously, your personal files and such should be backed up.)

Anything that was actually installed, programs, applications, drivers, will all need to be redownloaded (if you do not still have the download files) and reinstalled once you complete the Windows installation. Documents, images, movies, MP3s, steam games, etc... can just be backed up to a separate location.

Different malware apps can catch different problems.
Run malwarebytes anyway, it seems to be the gold standard.

Is your ssd near full? It can slow down at around 90%
