Xeon E3 1246 V3 or i7 4790 for rendering/gaming

Should i choose a Xeon E3 1246 v3 or i7 4790 for rendering (Cinema 4D, after effects etc.)/gaming
My computer is on for about 16+ hours a day (if that helps :b)

I would go with the i7 4790K, i`ve had it for almost an year now and its just great, its more than enough power for games (for 1 GPU builds) and it can handle very heavy work loads as long as its well colled, so i think you would be fine rendering on it. (though i`ve never tried to render any Cinema 4D projects on it)
