Good evening

I try to get my ram to work at 1600mhz.

Setup:
I3570k
Ga-z77x-d3h
Corsair vengeance 2 seperatly bought sets of 2 times 4gb, so 16gb in total

Motherboard and cpu are compatible with 1600

Xmp is set at profile1
Multiplier is set at 16
At the main bios screen it says the memory is running at 1333 (+ or - 20mhz?)

Ddr volt is 1.5
Vtt volt is 1.05
Save and exit with f10

Any ideas?

When a change in RAM occurs, the BIOS often gets confused ... I guess it expects one thing, sees another and takes a tantrum :)

1. After making a change, reset all BIOS settings to default, save and exit.
2. If it remains stubborn, clear CMOS and try again.

After having a stick go bad on me ince, when the replacements arrived, none of that worked. I had to clear CMOS, insert one stick into a virgin slot (I was using 1 and 3 before, so used 2), booted the system to BIOS, set to defaults again...saved and exited... Stuck one on 4 slot, rinse and repeat... shut down switched back to 1 and 3, set to defaults saved and all was right with the world again.
Ram is sold in kits for a reason.
A motherboard must manage all the ram using the same specs of voltage, cas and speed.
Ram from the same vendor and part number can be made up of differing manufacturing components over time.
Some motherboards can be very sensitive to this.
That is why ram vendors will NOT support ram that is not bought in one kit.

My only suggestion is to increase the ram voltage from 1.50 a touch.
4 sticks are harder to manage.

Lastly, do not worry much about ram speed with intel processors.
It makes precious little difference in fps or app performance.
Think 2% or so.

Do both separate sets work when installed just 2 at a time ?

Two separate sets are not guaranteed to work together, you *might* be able to get them to work w/ increased voltage or looser timings.

Try disabling XMP and working with JEDEC profiles.

Try installing in pairs per package and reading SPD with CPU-Z, take picks or write down specs so as to compare.... same brand same speed modules oft contain modules of different spec or even from different suppliers and these will usually have difficulty getting along with one another.

or 11% (177 / 159)

... I think, better said, the impact of RAM speed depends much on many things relative to gaming...

Specific game in question
Single or multiple GFX cards
Minimum versus average fps

I this specific instance tho, 1600 => 1333 obviously will shows lesser impact than 2400 => 1600

Haha no not yet... busy weekend for me... expecting to do some tests Monday, sorry :)

Did check cpu z and it is the 1.75.00

Okay I did some test, the individual sets do go to 1600mhz if installed seperatly... Any options besides getting new memory?

Btw: I got a bios is corrupted error after reinstalling all 4. Don't know if it makes any sense?
