XFX Radeon HD 6870 for $55 worth it?

Hey, i was searching craigslist today and i saw a deal that seemed amazing. I dont know if i should go through with the deal, thats why i am asking you guys. It is a really good deal being $55 (Cad), i just want to know if i should buy it. Thanks, Bradley

It's about on par with a GTX 750 or R7 260X, but uses more power. The cheapest retail GTX 750 seems to be $90 in Canada, so $55 seems like a fair price for a used card.

Note: I'm not familiar with the Canadian market for used parts.

It`s not a bad price for a 7870 card.
But if I had to be honest Bradley i would look for a 7970 instead.

As the amount of memory on a 7970 card is about 3Gb on average.
With a 7870 card its 2Gb or 1Gb.

And most new games or ones from 2015 to 2016 will play very well with a 7970.
With most of the graphics effects set to medium or high.

You will benefit from 3gb of memory on the card if you intend to play 2015 game titles and above.
