Gonna be purchasing an x99 mobo next week at my local microcenter but I have no idea which is best. X99 mobos seem to have a lot of bad reviews so i was hoping some of you would share your experience and guide me in the right direction. My budget is $265.00 max. mobo is for an i7-5820k cooled with a noctua u12 that I will be looking to overclock. Using 16gb ram and running 1 980ti and 1 ssd. Thanks

With that budget I would look at his guy,
http://www.microcenter.com/product/446613/X99S_SLI_Plus_LGA_2011-3_ATX_Intel_Motherboard

On sale right now, given a good report at $230 price point, not all the features compared to some higher cost models but still gives multi GPU support, basically the conclusions in this article gives you a pretty good idea

If you're still looking, the msi x99a sli plus includes usb3.1 at the same price. However, sli might be an issue because (according to kitguru) with a 5820k you'll need to use adjacent pcie3.0 x16 slots which will limit gpu cooling (unless you go with water blocks)
