Well it's hard to say. Here is a test of the NH-U12P SE versus the Hyper TX-3 (which is not as good as the Hyper 212 EVO):

I'm not sure that I agree with their testing methodology though. It seems like all the fans should be set at the same RPM to me, or all on full speed. With the Noctua you will get a 6 year warranty, a quieter cooler, free mounts for future chipsets, and an easier mounting system.

The Noctua U14S is a much better performer than the U12S. I would go with that one if possible. I wrongly assumed that the 212X was the EVO, but from what I see now the X should be at least as good as the EVO if not better.
