Hello,i was searching for 2 hours for this question and i didn't find answer
So is the noctua NH-U12P SE2 compatible with i5 6600k right out of the box? And how good does it perform? And if possible, which one is better, this one or the coolermaster hyper 212x

Solution

Well it's hard to say. Here is a test of the NH-U12P SE versus the Hyper TX-3 (which is not as good as the Hyper 212 EVO):

I'm not sure that I agree with their testing methodology though. It seems like all the fans should be set at the same RPM to me, or all on full speed. With the Noctua you will get a 6 year warranty, a quieter cooler, free mounts for future chipsets, and an easier mounting system.

The Noctua U14S is a much better performer than the U12S. I...

Yes of course its compatible. Noctua will send you out, free of charge, mounting kits if any future sockets wont fit. Noctua has the highest quality & care probably out of the entire pc industry.

Installations are an absolute breeze compared to others.

If you can afford the U14s it would be better cooling & silent. Not that the u12 is loud or a poor performer.

The Noctua U14S is a much better performer than the U12S. I would go with that one if possible. I wrongly assumed that the 212X was the EVO, but from what I see now the X should be at least as good as the EVO if not better.
