Why is my computer shutting down?

Okay, I previously made a post about how my r9 290 had coil whine and had started to die but purchasing a new RM650i PSU has remedied that issue.

However, after all that I still get random problems with my computer shutting down while gaming. (Once or twice a day, sometimes 3) When I look at my event logs, I find a kernel power error 41 in my critical logs occurring at said shutdowns. I have googled this issue over and over and can't seem to find a proper fix or answer to what is actually causing it. Can anyone give me some insight or advice to figure out what is going on?

I'm running an i7-4770 and R9 290

A few observations I've noticed are:

My PSU fan doesnt spin at max load (I read that this is due to the modular abilities of the RM650, but I think running games should draw enough power, no?)

My GPU gets to about 70~80 degrees while gaming

PSU calculator says that I'm drawing at least 420W from my PSU

Could it be that I just have a busted power supply?

Just run a test if it doesn't immediately shut down that rules out nothing if you're still losing power and its not in the entire house it could be faulty wiring in your area or bad capacitors on the psu, or something entirely different.

Did you oc anything? Also, run occt just to be sure.

If your screen goes blank but your pc's still on it's most likely that you're not pulling enough power. It could also be other issues ram, might be a faulty motherboard.

Does anyone understand the kernel power error 41 that I have been getting though? I'm trying to see if its associated with bad PSU or not.

My computer shuts down completely a takes a few seconds to reboot, if that helps diagnose it any further.

Yes, it is plugged straight into the outlet as it has been for a year now. Not sure why this issue would start coming about now, I'll head to the store later and get a surge protector and see if that will help but I doubt that it will do much.
