Chossing a New Fan

Hey all, just a heads up. Since living in Australia, I have a very limited range of options. So I'll be using one site in particular. http://www.msy.com.au/viconline/288-fans-size-140mm

So I recently bought a new GPU (ASUS R7 360) and extended gaming periods cause quite a decent amount of heat (70C+ at one point).

I currently only have one front mount fan (Corsair AF-140). I know one additional fan won't cause a huge difference, perhaps 5 C at most but its better than nothing.

TL;TR: I have a Corsair AF-140, I want to install another 140mm fan that is preferably quieter. I was going to pick the Antec Truequiet for $16 but it's out of stock, I thought the Antec "TwoCool" might be similar, however it seems to have a loud clicking sound when over 7V.

My choice now seems to be between the Fractal Design Dynamic GP ($24) and the Noctua NF REDUX 1500-PWM ($25) which seems to have very positive reviews. It also seems like I'll have to buy a Y spliter or a molex to 4 pin adapter, since I only have one spot on my motherboard left (z97 Pro4).

What do you guys reckon, any experience with these fans?

Solution
I have a couple of the noctua redux 1500rpm's in my case. They move a good amount of air even when they're not running full out. At full speed they do make some noise (airflow especially if restricted by a grill) but will likely move more air than the af140. The redux don't look horrible at all, they're not the standard brown/bergundy colors. They're a two tone light/dark gray. Not to mention they carry the same 6yr warranty as standard noctuas.

What case do you have? I would go with the Noctua since it is PWM so since you want a quieter fan you could control it down to the volume you want, at max the dBa from the Noctua should be the same as the corsair. Or go with the DeepCool UF140-RED, closer to the Corsair color scheme and also PWM with same acoustics according to the specs

Out of the options you listed I'd preferably go for the Noctua-they are pricey, they look horrible but they are quality products. If you wanted something with LEDs may I also recommend the Cougar range of fans-they are actually quite silent and good performers as well.

Solution
Corsair fans aren't bad but the noctua tend to outperform them.

Af140 - 24dba, .84 mm/h2o pressure, 67.8cfm
sp140 - 29.3dba, 1.17 mm/h2o pressure, 49.5 cfm
noctua redux 1500rpm - 25.8dba, 1.91 mm/h2o pressure, 78.7 cfm

They do cost a few dollars more but they're nearly as quiet as the af140's, put out more airflow, more pressure than the sp140's and have 3x the warranty. Corsair are fairly expensive fans considering their performance. If I'm not mistaken corsair also went to more inexpensive sleeve bearings on all their led models vs their non led fans.

Cougar vortex and aerocool ds fans are pretty decent also but the cougars don't appear on that link and the ds are really high priced in Australia for some reason, more than they are comparatively in the u.s. The fractal dynamic 14's seem decent enough for airflow, static pressure's a bit on the low side. Depending how restrictive the front of the case is or if it has to blow past hdd cages airflow may suffer some.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been quite busy with study. I should of mentioned that my case is a Corsair SPEC-03.

It seems like the Noctua NF REDUX 1500-PWM is the best option I have for my price range and product availability, I'm also glad it's not that typical brown colour that they tend to be, but I plan on having it at the bottom anyways pushing air across my HDDs and PSU. Hopefully enough jumps up and hits the GPU as well since the fans are facing downwards.

Thank you all for great responses, I'll leave this thread open in case anyone else has an additional comments, but I'm 90% sure that I'll be getting the Noctua NF REDUX 1500-PWM. Mainly I want to know if my case (Corsair SPEC-03) will have any issues with a round framed fan.
