I'm stuck between choosing a z170pro gaming or h170 pro gaming the specs that I'm eyeing is here:
Intel i5 6600 skylake
Asus h170/z170 pro gaming<< this part
Asus GTX960 strix DC2OC 4/2gb
Cougar MX500 Black
Seasonic m12ii 750w evo
Kingston 8gb HyperX 2133
Kingston 120gb SSD
Seagate 1tb Sata
CoolerMaster T4 Quad

I'd appreciate your comments and suggestion(s). I have a tight budget and I'm on the edge

Um... All this seems like you're paying for quite a bit. $900 budget?
And don't go for Asus boards. Their low-ended boards are priced mid-ranged.

I'm at the moment nearing a $1200 budget. Everything from my place is quite expensive. I'm willing to pay as long that it can last for 3-5 years, and Asus has proven that to me. So if you have any suggestions, please feel free.

Oh...
1) Try to get the AsROCK Fatal1ty Z170 K4.
2) Try to find a cheaper PSU. Make sure it doesn't suck too much.
3) Get a better case.

Should be about it for budget.

I personally don't want to mess with the PSU at the moment i have some planned upgrade to be done by December. It's more like of getting what's the best for the budget at this moment and upgrade slowly from that point.

Or for the motherboard, how about Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P?

I personally don't know how ASrock and Gygabyte perform, that's why I'm trying to ask what can be the better and lesser evil route.

AsROCK and Gigabyte are right up there with Asus in quality. I've seen maybe 0.01% more problems on MSI products than others.
