There should be a "no video card beeps" on my pc but there's a single short beep instead, what does that mean?

So i just put together my build, but when i turn it on there's nothing on the monitor
I'm planning to use integrated graphic since i won't do much on it, so i'm not buying a graphic card
I'm thinking maybe it's my memory, does a memory have to be on the QVL list on the motherboard website for it to work?
Right now i'm using this cheap ram that i can't even find the brand name online (it says "HM" or something on the sticker)
Or should i just try a graphic card?

The QVl is just a list of memory modules tested with the motherboard known to work.

It does not necessarily mean any other brand of memory stick you choose to buy will work, or not work with the motherboard you have.

A single short beep from any motherboard, and it`s bios means that all testing completed and nothing was found to be wrong with any hardware connected to the motherboard such as the cpu, ram, or a Pci-e based graphics card you may of placed in the Pci-e card slot of your motherboard.

How are you, or what connector are you using from the motherboards on board video output ports of the motherboard.

If you are using a Dvi from the motherboard to Dvi connector of your monitor.
Check to see what type of Dvi cable it is by looking at the pins on the cable ends.

You get Analog wired Dvi cables and Digital Dvi cables.

If you use the wrong type for connection from the video ports of the motherboard to your monitor but get no signal to the monitor it can be how the cable is wired.

An analog Dvi cable has a large flat pin then four smaller ones placed around it.
The digital wired version just has a single flat pin with none of the four smaller pins around it.

I suspect the problem is that as to why you get no video signal from the motherboard to the monitor you have.
Just in case could list the brand of motherboard you are using and it model number.

Check to see if the cpu you have has an integrated gpu.
If it does not then your going to have to buy a Pci-e graphics card for your system to get video output from it to the monitor.

List the cpu you have if you can.
Along with the brand of motherboard and its model number Jezzer.

Here is my specs
Intel pentium g3260 (it has integrated graphics)
Asus h81m-c motherboard
Corsair vs450 psu

Also just to clarify, you don't need a graphic card for a pc to POST?
I thought there's suppose to be a "no video card" error beeps first?

Nope. the MOBO will just switch to the CPU's integrated graphics
