I have a silverstone 560 watt psu thats atleast 4 years old, not sure of the exact model or how efficient it is.
Anyway I'm planning on upgrading my msi gtx 970 to a gigabyte 980ti, my CPU is an i5 4690k running at stock speeds and being cooled by a corsair h100i gtx. And just in case it makes any difference my mobo is an asus maximus vii ranger with 8gb of kingston hyperx ram at 1600mhz and a single WD black 1tb Hdd.

It has handled my 970 running at 1509mhz just fine and ive also had my cpu @4,3ghz without any problems. Im aware of the 600watt minimum recommendation but ive heard that 550watt psus have ran similar systems just fine, I do plan on getting an EVGA supernova g2 750watt but of course id rather get the gpu upgrade first if its safe
