Hi! I wanted to start by saying thank you for any future replies :D

I am wondering which "brand" of the Nvidia GTX 980 6GB TI models i should pick.

I have been looking at the "EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB HYBRID*", as well as the "ASUS GeForce STRIX GTX 980 Ti 6GB*". I know the EVGA model is "water cooled", but i usually always go with the Asus brand.

Which one should i go with? One of the above, or another model completely - of the GTX 980 TI 6GB..

*ASUS: https://goo.gl/uwo0wt

Again, thank you!
- Anton.

''Hi, hybrid means it has 2 ways of cooling, water AND air, but '' no it don't mean that no switch to switch between

funny how guys go air card the whine about heat ''my card runs at 80c boo hoo'' and the look for a water block ?? heck just get the hybrid and be done with it

its slightly clocked less the there classy [I think 1190 classy- 1140 hybrid ] and llike you see at newegg reviews of it never get over 60c max on its worst day ?

also youi can catch it on sale for 689$ that's the real deal and they sell out fast ...

Both good brands , however i opted with MSI twin Frozr. Theyve really improved.
The fans only spin on once past 60c and its silent in a good case.

I wouldnt go the bybrid id go with evga asx cooling or the strix if choice of those two brands.

All 3 are the top choice. no bad decision there.

Hi, hybrid means it has 2 ways of cooling, water AND air, but I've got no idea when or how it switches xD. Asus has a pretty good cooling performance too, with it 3 fans. So, I think they both are good cards to OC, but the hybrid may be a little better (and pricier probably). If you're not planning to do any OCs, or just light OCs, get the Asus, should be fine :)

Do you have a direct link to the MSI model you are describing?

Thanks ;)

I guess there might be just a small degree difference between the two cards then? I mean - there is a slight price difference, but i dont really mind a little extra to get the best.

Thanks btw! :)

I do plan to overclock if needed in the future! Right now i dont really think performance from that model would be any problem.. :ange:

The MSI: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-gtx980tigaming6g $649

Flog that monitor on ebay, save up $500 and get the samsung s32d85. 32" 16:9 1440p.
Absolutely beautiful and a great pairing with the power of the 980ti.
