Before I go into detail I want to let everyone know I've spent the past two days trying to fix this myself, reading through every thing on this website and many more. I can't figure this out for the life of me.

Okay so a couple days ago my Lenovo Y50-70 Touch hdd crashed. After spending half a day trying, I was able to restore Windows 10. However, the laptop would freeze up and became unresponsive to everything, eventually it wouldn't boot. I made sure all the other hardware was still good before it crashed permanently. So I went and bought a SSD and installed it, put Windows 10 recovery on a USB flash drive, plugged it in, and nothing. When I power it on it shows the white Lenovo logo over a black screen, and nothing else. I've tried messing with some BIOS settings, but no luck. I've also checked to make sure all the hardware, including the SSD, show up in the BIOS. Can someone please help?

Solution
Windows 10 recovery won't work if the drive containing the Windows 10 installation has failed or is no longer attached to the system.

You have to re-install Windows 10 on to the new SSD using Windows 10 installation media.
