So i used to build computers all the time about ten years ago. Things have changed... Like cpu not havin pins, the mobo does. So i got set up with some parts to build a more modern pc. Put everything together and the screen would not turn on. Troubleshoot some things and finally took out the cpu and saw pins were bent. Noob move right? Bent them back and tried again... Now power wont come on at all.. Mobo light comes on but nothing else. Sent mobo in and got it repaired but does same thing. Did i short something or blow up my cpu?

I just bought this psu, i used it in my old computer when its psu went and seems to work fine. It meets the wattage requirements. How do i check the cpu or ram... I assume the mobo works as they would have tested it before sending it back to me

Ok so i tested psu then did what alexouu said. When i did that everything seemed to turn on, fans cpu fan, and fan in psu as i take it turns on when its actually sending power to mobo. So i plugged everything back in and tried touching the pins to start it and to no avail it didnt do anything.
