Hi all, i have two Crusial 120Gb SSD is raid 0. Health status accordingly to CristalDiskInfo on one drive is 87%, the second is 90%. At what percentage should I consider new SSDs?
Your drive is fine. It will keep working until that number falls to 0 provided something else does not happen over the rated life of the flash.
You will know something is up when it starts reallocating or failing to erase. Your drive does not even have any errors to report. All looks good.
That number will fall by 1% for a certain number of program erase counts(the drive erases data to write new data unlike hard drives that overwrite data) across the full drive. Unlike hard drives nand can only be written to so many times so the drives keeps writing across the full drive to keep the drive wear even.
My SSD shows its percentage based on used write cycles in that case you should still be good for a while.
My wear leveling count will trigger at 10 out of 100 so It looks like when you are almost out of write cycles it should trigger that and warn you if you have SMART enabled.
