System stuck on "failed installation" windows 7

So, I had some issues with my system recently where it began bluescreening with a 000004f error, but no lasting damage.

At one point though, it failed to load. I tracked the problem down to a .sys file and attempted repair via the repair tool, but it made no difference. Afterwards I attempted to restore my system to a previous point before I had the bluescreen issue and I managed to almost boot the system, before it crashed. From that point onward the registry was corrupted and all of my registry points were gone. I also tried several fixes through bootfix and manually copying/fixing some broken .sys files but nothing worked.

Finally I took a windows USB drive I had and formatted the drive, attempting to do a clean install. It failed twice before it completely went under and I am now stuck in a loop. The system tells me to restart the system because the installation failed, yet even if I insert the USB drive again it doesn't actually restart the installation, just keeps showing the the message.

Also, at one point I attempted to repair the boot with a system repair disk I made on another PC and it wouldn't work, since my (broken) PC kept telling me the drive was locked. I am using an SSD which I read tends to have some trouble with Windows.

I forgot to add, when I attempt to install windows with my usb drive, it gives me an 0xc00f error, saying the required device is inaccessible (which I suspect is due the fact that my ssd is "locked").

Please help me Tom's hardware, you're my only hope

[Mod edit: OS = Windows 7]

Solution
Try a different SATA cable and reseat the hard drive. If that does not help, try the setup on a new hard drive from the errors you were getting before and failing to install Windows, you have a bad hard drive. SSD drives have no issues with Windows.
