Hi everyone,

Quick question about the Z600 ver B3 worksatation. I got a Z600 with DUAL QuadCore X5550, it comes with 4GB RAM, so I'm planing for a RAM upgrade.

I understand the Z600 B3 will have to use Unbuffered DDR3 1333MHZ ECC, so what's the maximum RAM I can put into the Z600? 24GB or 48GB?

Thank you.

Solution
As per your memory upgrade guide for the Z600 ver B3 since you have 2 physical CPU's you'll have to upgrade ram on both socketed CPU's. The maximum ram supported by your system with both sockets populated is 48GB and while one socket is populated the maximum ram is 24GB.

But for Z600 B3, it only supports Unbuffered ECC, so is 4GB per stick a limit for Z600 B3?
