well my usb adaptor I use picks up my neighbors router and there a bout a good 500 ft away its real weak single but it is showing ?? if that helps any
Ethernet cable is the best option if you can do it. Otherwise look at outdoor point to point bridge equipment form someone like unbiquiti or engenius. You must have clear line of sight nothing inbetween for it to work well.
