Hello people,
so about a month ago I decided to stress test my i5 4690k, which I overclocked to 4.5 GHz using EasyTune and has been that way for about 6 months, and also stress test my gtx 960. The test seemed to go smoothy, no problems, all good. The day after, I was playing, when all of a sudden my screen went blank and displayed something like "no signal HDMI 1", so I restarted my PC, and it worked just fine. This happens at very random times, sometimes when I'm literally doing nothing on my computer, sometimes when I'm just watching a video, sometimes while I'm playing a video game, and other times it disappears. when it happens I just press the restart button on my case, and everything goes back on.
I initially thought it was a problem with either my GPU or monitor, but 2 days ago, I decided to do some testing. I downloaded teamviwers on my PC and phone, and connected my phone to my PC, and when the screen went blank, I checked my phone, and saw that I couldn't control my PC via my phone anymore. I don't know if this is correct, but team viewer doesn't care about GPU, right? i.e. it is taken out of the equation, so basically only the CPU is left.

Am I correct? Is it the CPU that I should send back to the manufacturer?

Thank you.

yea I've actually tried re-switching to the intel gpu twice before when the problem occured, and the screen just stayed black.
