Bit of a bizarre one this - today I built a new PC, powered it up, installed OS yadda yadda. Everything worked just fine but I did notice after a while that only 8 GB of RAM was registered by the system. I had two 8 GB sticks of Crucial DDR4 installed and one of my stumbling blocks on the way to getting the PC working was an error 55 in memory initialisation, which turned out to be simply that I had not pushed the RAM sticks fully into the slots.

Thinking this could be the case for this second stick still, I powered the machine off, opened the case and pressed firmly on both sticks. Upon powering the machine on, the motherboard LED now displays code C5 and the computer powers off after a few seconds of displaying this. Advice I've seen elsewhere and already tried includes different permutations of RAM in the mobo slots, removing the GPU (980 Ti if it matters) and clearing the CMOS (I've done this via both a screwdriver across the jumper and the quick reset button on the board). Nothing has made a difference and I still see C5 every time the machine powers on. This is not the first restart the machine has had, but it *is* the first time I've powered it off since successfully booting it initially.

EDIT: C5 is also the error displayed if I simply have no sticks of RAM and try to boot, which is suggestive but not conclusive.

Any ideas?

Solution
Because the MB has dual bios, if you can't boot, then use the PSU button to shut down the PC, then reboot the cp in regular way, and 2nd bios will do the rest. You will need reset the PC setting in the BIOS.
If you can boot into the Windows, you may try to update the BIOS.
