Hi guys,
So I'm new to building pc's and Yesterday I got all my components and started to build. As soon as I get everything and turn on the computer it seems that everything is connected fine and all fans plus cpu and graphics card are on and installed but I get no display on my monitor when booting it. So I try and troubleshoot a whole bunch of different ways by connecting one component at a time and turning it on to see if it's anything specific that could be the problem and everything checks out except when I start up the rig without the dedicated graphics card it would make 3 beeping noises. One beep that is a little longer than the other two short beeps.
I'm going to list the components I got to build with so you guys have a better idea of the issue.
-MSI A68HM Grenade motherboard
-AMD Athlon X4 860K Kaveri quad core @ 3.7Ghz
-MSI GeForce gtx 960 4g
- HyperX FURY 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866
-Seagate Desktop HDD ST1000DM003 1TB 64MB Cache
-ASUS 24X DVD Burner
-Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 2.5" 240GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Please if anyone has any ideas I'm open to try them or if it sounds like one of my components is faulty please let me know as well.
Thank you.

1 long 2 short:
A video error has occurred and the BIOS cannot intialize the video screen to display any additional information

Try to remove your RAM, blow any dust out of the socket and make sure nothings bent. If so boot with only 1 stick in the socket closest to your CPU. If that doesn't work try the other stick in the same socket.
If you fail to boot with these steps you most likely need a BIOS update.

the 860 cpu does not have onboard video in it so the mb will beep with the gpu out. on msi web page the 860 will post with bios 1.0 there newest bios is 1.2 look at the biow chip on the mb see what rev the bios is. on the mb make sure the 4 pin/8 pin cpu power is connected and on the video card the 6 pin power is connected. to rule out bad install or dead short try starting the mb ontop of the mb box with the gpu and one ram stick see if it posts.
