PSU for r9 290

I'm upgrading my gpu to an r9 290 and it recommends 750wt psu. I have a 600wt and was wondering if i really need to upgrade or if I what I have is good.
CPU: AMD FX 8320 3.5ghz 8 core
RAM: 8gb

A 650w should be sufficient. As the 8320 and 290 both show good improvements with overclocking....it's advisable to just upgrade. A good power supply should last for years and years, and is a worthwhile investment. Because 290's are coming down in price, getting another one in the future may be worth planning for too (cross-fired they are still quite formidable). Crossfire 290s are at 1000w:
