Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7
Intel I7-6700K

Mostly a gaming machine. Currently looking at getting
G.SKILL F4-3200C16D-16GTZ 16GB Trident Z DDR4 PC4-25600 3200MHz

Going off Gigabytes "Approved memory list" This is a good 8gig x 2 sticks (the MB is a Dual Channel). 16 gig should be more than enough for me gaming.

So I guess what is the best RAM set up...

1. Two 8GB sticks? at 3200MHz
2. Four 4GB sticks? at (higher) maybe in the 3600-3700 range?
3. ???
4. ????

Use multiple RAM sticks rather then a single one is better due to dual channels. So the more quanity, the more better I would say; but it's a small factor. I know 32 Gigs of RAM is overkill, but I still suggest 2x8gig as you'll have room still for...

I have none... the only ones I have researched are the G.Skills posted above. Was more looking to see if the higher speed memory in ther 4x4 was better than the lower speed 2x8 configuration.

Maybe I am not asking the right question... I have tried Google and here for answers...

Is (in this system) Dual Channel

4x4gig better higher speed
2x8gig better lower speed

How does the system use ram the most efficiently
