So, back in September of last year, I posted here looking to replace a motherboard that had been damaged in shipping (http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2790614/replacement-asrock-z68-extreme4-gen3.html?xtor=EREC-8889). I was successfully able to purchase an Asus P8Z77-v Pro, which seemed like it would work fine. But in December of last year it started having problems powering on, and in January of this year it died completely (pressing the power button would either do nothing or make it power cycle endlessly).

I have gone back to using my ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3, which is still working fine other than the destroyed PCIe slot (and I have since ruled out the motherboard as the cause of my other issues). I purchased a warranty with the z77, so I got a refund from NewEgg in the form of a gift card. I am looking now for another board to replace the z68, but NewEgg is out of the z77 boards (and I don't even see them on ebay much anymore, except for a few really expensive ones).

If anyone could recommend another solid replacement for the z68, I would really appreciate it. Ideally something from NewEgg so I can use that giftcard. Once again, I have an Intel i5 2500k CPU, Kingston Hyper-X DDR3-1600 ram, a Radeon r9 280x video card, Corsair TX750 power supply, and a Haf 912 case. The new mobo should ideally have at least 2 available PCIe slots and work with Crossfire (because otherwise I don't really need a new board). My budget is pretty limited, so I can't really afford to upgrade much more than the board.

Thanks for any help.

Well, the cheapest solution you can get is probably the ASUS P8Z77-V LX motherboard from Amazon (refurb) for $60:

http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-P8Z77-V-LX-Intel-Motherboard/dp/B007MKGF82/

It doesn't say if it comes with a back plate and it only runs the second PCIE slot at x4, so using Crossfire on it would be possible - but not ideal.

If it does not come with a back plate, you can get one from ebay for another $21:

IDK if it is the best solution, though.

@wildfire707 Thanks for the reply... wish I had seen it earlier, lol. I've bookmarked the pcpartpicker page, so thanks for that. Still hoping to find something on NewEgg, but we'll see.

EDIT: I really don't see anything else on NewEgg or their eBay store that's LGA-1155 and has 2 PCIe slots. I guess I will have to find something else to spend that gift card on. If anyone knows of a board that would meet my requirements and is around $80-$90 at the most, please let me know (whether it is on NewEgg or not). $130 is a little outside my budget at the moment, so here's hoping.
