looking for some input for cpu cooler for this system

Solution
1) Do NOT use that case's PSU with Haswell or newer chips, it was a good choice to get a real PSU. (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=52 <-- this thing right?)
2) Your build does NOT need a 1200W PSU even with SLI of 980ti. Go get yourself a ~750W Seasonic or SuperFlower Leadex Gold/Platinum PSU like the 760XP2 or EVGA G2/P2 750W. You'll have plenty of room for overclocking or SLI.
3) That cooler will NOT fit in the case unless you remove case fans, with fans the max cooler height is 6.1" and that cooler is 6.6"
4) Check http://www.silentpcreview.com/section11.html for suggestions.
5) I personally use a Corsair H80i on silent mode, it's about as quiet as you can get when paired with a quiet case like...

Hello thanks for the reply
The psu i have is this one http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/silent-pro-gold/silent-pro-gold-1200w/
I am wondering why you say not to use it with my cpu I know it is more power then I need but I already have it and plan to eventually use all 4 slots of the board for 4 980 tis
as to the cooler I thought the clearence for the cooler is 190 mm so about 7.4 inches, I would appreciate some clarification as i am new to building a higher end intell system thanks

You misunderstood, the parts list you had a PSU from 2007 that came with your case, and that one is absolutely not acceptable. If your PSU is http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story3&reid=193 though, that one also HAS TO GO! A single 980ti will likely cause it to crash, imagine what 4 will do. Go buy something based on Seasonic and Superflower Leadex Gold/Platinum.

And no, your motherboard will not handle 4 980ti unless this is for CUDA or very specialized software. If you need more than 2 GPUs for low latency work (games), you need to go with an E series LGA2011 chip like the 5820. The 6700 simply doesn't have enough PCIe lanes to feed 4x 980ti properly, especially once DX12 games come out.

And no, your case only supports 6.1" coolers if you keep the fans in. Always read the fine print.
