After about 20-30 minutes of playing battlefield 4 i get an error message and everything freezes I have to completely restart my computer:

DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG (The application's device failed due to a badly format command sent by the applicaion). This is an design-time issue that should be be investigated and fixed.

My rig:
AMD FX-8350
MSI 970a SLI Krait Edition
Kingston HyperX Fury 16gb (2x8gb)
Corsair h80i water cooler
FXF Radeon R9 380 4gb DDR5 GPU
EVGA SuperNova NEX650G 80 plus Gold (650 watt)
Samsung SSD 500GB EVO (i believe)

It was a new build with windows 10 education
Ive installed all the new drivers
Ive lowered the quality and none of this has helped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

It does not do it with any games that ive tried but i have only played mass effect 1,2,3 and bf4 since building the computer

SbMfromLA its just the standard gpu not the overclocked edition. Does this matter? And how would i go about doing that? Ive only overclocked a cpu never a gpu

I did a search and found other people with the same error... their fix was to under clock their Graphics Card... I haven't used an NVidia card in years so I'm not sure your drivers.
