Yep the 7870 is closer to a 950 performance wise , a 7870 /r9 270x/r7 370 are pretty much the same cards & the 950 was released as a direct competitor to those.
Just be sure your PSU is good enough.
The 750ti is a 70w card , the 7870 is 140w or so.

Yes, its a great unit. You could pretty much run any single card off that power supply.
Yeah Only downside is that it is a continuous power supply so I cant turn it off unless I unplug it from the wall or from the Power supply.
