I bought a gigabyte r9 390 g1 last week my system specs are:
Intel DH67BL sandy bridge motherboard
Intel i5 2500 @ 3.3ghz
2x 4gb 1333mhz ram
g750m coolermaster psu
gigabyte r9 390 g1
1x corsair 60gb ssd
2x baracuda seagate hdds (1Tb and a 3Tb)
I run every game off an hdd aside from csgo and have noticed that on certain games my gpu will go underutilized causing much lower fps than what i should be getting. The GPU usage will spike between 0% and 100% constantly on games such as CSGO, serious sam 3 and dying light, however on other games such as GTA 5, Killing Floor 2, Far Cry 3 the gpu usage will sit at 99-100%. I have tried tweaking options in AMD settings, reverting the drivers back to catalyst from the latest crimson driver, downgrading to win7 64bit from win10 and setting power limit to +50% and disabling ULPS in after burner. None of these things have had any effect.
I am not sure if its CPU/motherboard related or if its just the card as the usage is correct on GTA 5 and thats a very CPU intensive game.
