(URGENT) PC Wont Boot.

Hey All. I resently tried to do a stress test on my pc using Prime95. after i clicked ok in the first or maybe second menu my pc black screened seconds later. Now it keep trying to reboot. It powers on all fans start spinning e.t.c, it gets to the win 10 loading screen then crashes again. sometimes i can get to the bio and can stay on there for a bit longer but will eventually crash again. Iv done the "paper clip" test on my power supply and the fan spins.

My Specs Are.

Motherboard: Asrock H87M
CPU: Intel i7-4790K
Ram: Kingston HyperX Blu 16GB (2x8GB) at 1600MHz ddr3
Graphics: 2x sapphire vapor-x r9 270x OC edition (Factory Over Clock) Crossfire Configuration
PowerSupply: Antec edg650
cpu cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H60 SE CPU Cooler AIO liquid cooling
Cooling: 4 fans
HDD: Westen Digital Blue 1TB
SSD: san disk 250GB

when the pc black screened the first time i think i smelt like a burning smell.

Hope someone can help me, just hope its something cheap.

Hi, Try reinstalling the CPU cooler (reapplying thermal paste), single RAM module and test. If still the same, I'd RMA both board and CPU.

Ok. Iv tried single ram (Tried Both), I reinstalled the cooler, iv tried a spare power supply and iv unpluged everything that isnt needed. iv also tried booting from a USB to see if the ssd was F***ed and no luck.

iv just received a new i7 4790k from warranty and the problem still remains. when i use the old CPU (i5 4440) the pc boots just fine. iv cleared the CMOS and updated the BIOS with no result. I am now out of ideas and am unsure where to go next.

If you check in BIOS, what's the current BIOS version?
What method have you used for updating the BIOS?

i updated to 2.60 it said success but i cant currently check as im just leaving for school.

i flashed the update through bios via USB.

Try updating to 2.60. If still no go... maybe a new board?

HI there,

have you checked the GPU ?? Maybe the Graphics card has an issue ?

do you have a spare one ?
plug it in, with standard windows drivers ! if you see something... it's solved !

just an idea ...

OK so iv updated to the latest (p2.60) and still a no go. i then tried 2.20 to see if it was a problem with the newest version and nothing new.

im going to take my pc into a local pc store next week any last suggestions before i do that?

hey i have spare gpu and have tried it and still a no go. please remember it works with a different CPU. i sent the one that doesnt work off for waranty but the one that was sent back has the same problem so im guessing that its not the CPU

After Taking the pc to a local PC store he worked out that the mobo was fried and i had to get a replacement
