Desktop keeps restarting itself

My desktop keeps restarting itself. It does it fairly randomly but generally within a minute or two of being turned on. Sometimes it trolls me and stays on for half an hour. Not really sure what information would be needed to offer help. It's running 64 bit windows 7, which I've reinstalled so there's no other programs installed or anything. We've taken it apart and got the dust out, there was a big build up but it's pretty clean now using a hoover and a can of compressed air. It has made no difference.

Usually it just restarts and says "windows did not shut down correctly" offering me normal startup, safe mode, startup with command prompt and with networking. Though just now it took me to startup repair.

What's weird is it worked fine for 3 or 4 years, then I lent it to my sister and the day I took it to hers is when it started doing it. So I don't know if I messed something up in transit. After a few weeks it ran fine for her for a year. She's now given it back to me and it immediately did it again. I don't know if that suggests movement is an issue? Some dodgy connection or something?

I tried taking the battery out of the motherboard to reset the bios. This bought me enough time to go onto system settings and turn off automatic reboot... but it still restarts! Aargh!

Solution
Unplug all the power connectors EVEYTHING even hard drives and plug them back in, unplug all SATA cables and plug them back in, remove the memory and video card and reinstall them.
From their I would try a different power supply if you have one or have one in another PC that will work.
