It started when I was playing DOTA 2 and this happens. While I was playing the game, it just suddenly freezes for about 1 or 2 minutes, I can still move my mouse and I think my computer didn't hanged. After waiting for a minute, game just timed out and disconnects me to the game. I tried reconnecting and start playing again. After about 15 minutes in the game, it freezes again and I waited for 10 mins for it to work but it didn't. After resetting my computer, a scanning and repairing my drive shows up when the windows logo is still loading. It took like 20 minutes of waiting before it boots normally again.

I tried copying a game from my computer to my USB and a message shows that "An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to recieve this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem.
Error 0x80070570: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."

I tied searching the code and did the steps that they told me to, but it still happens everytime I pass a file to my usb.

Oh, and when I pass a file to my computer from my usb, a same message shows that some files are corrupted and can't be copied. So I have no choice but to skip it.

Is my HDD the problem that is causing all of this freezes in my games and trouble in copying some files? Please I need help before anything bad happens to my HDD so I can still back up some important files.

Hi there jejemon1012,

Unfortunately, it seems that your HDD has some bad sectors on it. You will need to replace it, as the bad sectors will continue to appear until the drive fails. If it is under warranty, you can just RMA it.

Do you get these errors with all the files you want to transfer? I think you will need to back up all the data stored on the drive.
One thing you can try is to run disk check and see if the file transfer issue persists: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/check-your-hard-disk-for-errors

Keep in mind that the disk check could sometimes result in data loss.

Let me know how this goes,

Just now I was playing Resident Evil Revelations and the game exits and a message shows Fatal error and a corrupted file in the game. This have never happened before.

I tried the diagnosis tool already. It helped the computer boot a little faster though and the performance as well.

I used HD Tune. In error scan, 42 blocks where damaged, a total of 3,990 gigabytes. In Benchmark, it shows "Read Error Test Aborted".
